IoT via satellite – future trends and developments
ESA Satellite Communications has been one of the initiators for non-terrestrial networks to be included in the 3GPP standards. In addition to the evolving 3GPP standards, there are also developments in the field of very low power satellite IoT standards. This talk will provide an overview of where we are now with satellite IoT in terms of technology and uptake, and discuss the synergy with other space applications such as earth observation.
