Finalists in Excellence for Industry 4.0 are the Catalan company Efizum, which has created a system of digital twins that can be implemented by small and medium-sized companies; the Catalan research centre i2Cat, for an analyser of security protocols; and the British oil company Castrol, which has launched a range of sustainable fuels with smart technologies.

In the Connectivity category, the Catalan company TrueCold, for developing software to monitor the temperature of laboratories during the handling of pharmaceutical and health products; Australia’s Myriota, which has launched IOT satellites to improve low-cost, low-power 5G connectivity; and the German Imensus, which has built a robotic rover vehicle with sensors to generate 3D geological models.

Finally, in the field of Cybersecurity, the finalists are the German Filancore, for its state-of-the-art IOT management platform that increases the life cycle of the device, Emnify, for its aviation IOT project with which pilots can access all flight data through tablets; and the Catalan i2Cat, for a proactive risk prevention system to avoid cyberattacks.

The Industry Solutions Awards will be announced on May 14 in the event’s auditorium, followed by a gala to which both exhibitors and visitors are invited.

IOTSWC and Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress
IOT Solutions World Congress, the main global event for the digital transformation of the industry, will be held in conjunction with the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress (BCC), an international cybersecurity event. Organised by Fira de Barcelona, both events will bring together more than 350 exhibitors from all over the world and will feature more than 100 speakers in Hall 8 of the Gran Via venue.
